Serving @ the Bridge

God designed us to find fulfillment in life when we're doing what He created us to do. You were designed with a unique set of talents, abilities and gifts to accomplish a specific set of things for God. Consequently if you aren't doing what you're supposed to be doing it won't get done and you won't be happy. It also means that if you're part of a community of Christ-followers and not serving then that body won't function properly. (If you don't believe me check out 1 Corinthians 12 - you can check it out online at biblegateway.com)

At the Bridge we want to help everyone find out what God designed them to do and give them the ability to serve using their unique gifts and abilities. There are a bunch of ways that you can get involved with our community and honestly we love helping people find their right fit.

First, we suggest that you take some time to contemplate how God designed you.

What do you like to do?
What do you think your gifts and talents are?
What do other people think you are talented and gifted in?
What are you passionate about?

Second we recommend taking the next Spiritual Gifts class at the Bridge. It is designed to help you understand what spiritual gifts are, which ones you might have and how they maight fit into God's work.

Last, we suggest that you ask God to show you where he wants you to serve and what he wants you to be doing. Keep your eyes and heart open to the ministries that you see around you. A good way to check out Bridge ministries is to contact ministry leaders from the announcement sheet from each Sunday or to contact one of the staff members.

As a side note don't be offended if there is a particular area that you want to serve in that is reserved for "Bridge Partners." There are just a few areas like leading small groups, teaching in our Bridge Kidz classes and leadership roles that we reserve for partners. We do this for the safety of our community and for accountability purposes.
If you don't have any idea what you are designed to do check out our next Spiritual Gifts class and/or feel free to contact one of our staff members.
